The Use of ITC's Anti-Spam Program

Outline and How To Use
- We have used ITC's anti-spam program since March 25th, 2009. (All the email accounts of the department of economics are covered.)
- All emails which are recognized as spam will be quarantined to the dedicated server of ITC. As for the spam criterion, please refer to the table below.
- Digest reports are delivered to your email address every day at late-night 1:00, if there are any new quarantined emails.
- You can check or operate your quarantined emails on this website. (Ex. You can take away important emails from the server.)
(In fact, only Internet Explorer is available at this time.)
- Email address: Your email address with g@e.u-tokyo.ac.jph
- Password: Please obtain from this website.
*After the registration, a tentative password will be sent to the registered email address.
*This password is separate from the one for checking your email.
- The retention period of quarantined emails is about a month. Since there may be false positives, please check the quarantined emails within a time frame.
- As for details (Ex. how to obtain or change your password, how to view and operate your quarantined emails, and all the rest), please refer to the following manuals.
- Generally, spam size in not so heavy that the program does
not quarantine emails size of which are over 250KB.
- Our antivirus program will check all emails, even if they are sent from email addresses in the anti-spam program's white list.
Spam Criterion
Incoming emails are identified and blocked by the value of the spam score.
